Adrenaline Communications backs the Children of Bukati Project supporting aids orphans in Kenya

Toronto, ON - November 3rd, 2007 - Adrenaline Communications announced today that it would provide full marketing services to The Children of Bukati Project.

“We will assist this wonderful effort in any way we can” says principal John Dowsett. The whole team is on board on this one. It meets the key criteria of Adrenaline’s charity work, it assists children, and has uses over ninety eight percent of the monies raised for the effort.

Dr. Cate Dewey travelled rural Western Kenya conducting research aimed at improving the lives of poor subsistence pig farmers. Through this work she encountered many children who were not attending elementary school because they did not have a pencil or a uniform. From the need that she observed first hand, she launched the Children of Bukati project.

Creatively, the money raised does not go directly to the children, but rather moves them forward in becoming self-supporting. “Each orphan receives a uniform, pen, pencil and school lunch” says Dr. Dewey “the school buys maize and beans in bulk to reduce lunch expenditure. What we are thrilled about is providing livestock, crops and a grist mill. Teaching the children how to produce food ensures that they will become self sufficient, gain a life skill and most importantly allow us to focus on other schools in the future.

Adrenaline and the Children of Bukati Project are considering a video to be posted on YouTube, a compilation of Dr. Dewey’s spectacular photography from her journeys in Africa as well as various work.

Adrenaline also provides services to the For Kicks charity which is targeted towards helping “At Risk” youth across Canada.
